About the event
The 2023-2024 NEA Big Read program through Illinois Humanities features two titles about the American dream, class, and inequality: Heartland: A Memoir of Working Hard and Being Broke in the Richest Country on Earth by Sarah Smarsh, and Infinite Country by Patricia Engel. We will discuss Heartland through December and January, followed by Infinite Country through February and March. These can be joined in person or virtually!
*Second Discussion*
The second discussion of Heartland will be held on Monday, January 22nd at 6:30pm inside the Canton Learning Collaborative — Zoom link available. When we read together, we broaden our imaginations and understanding of our world, our neighbors, and ourselves. Read alongside other NEA Big Read groups across Illinois and the nation by reaching out to Fulton County Arts here on Facebook, or at our website at www.FultonCountyArts.Org
